My path to Happiness in 2018

Okay..lets be honest here, I welcome the new year by snoring away on my boyfriend couch.. truthfully I’ve been hitting the snooze button on 2018 for the last 8 days. Although I love the idea of a new year and a fresh start, I am just not organized enough to enter the new year with that fresh new cliché mentality.

I believe goals make the world go ’round..writing goals, tackling goals and accomplishing them are the foundation of my happiness and my drive to keep pushing forward and to be constantly trying to better myself.

That being said, I am always actively working on my goals, writing them down and looking for new ways to help me achieve them. I’ve been writing my goals specific to 2018 down for a few weeks now, and I have decided to choose my top goals and share those with you today. I broke my goals down into 3 categories..

Work

Finances

Health

I trust that if I can accomplish a goal in each of these categories I will be happier and I will be living my life in the way that I want.

Work–  I hope the close 30 transactions in 2018. I’m working my butt off and taking advantage of my resources at work to help get me there. I believe in the power of positive thinking and I know if I keep thinking, speaking and truly believing that this has already happened..it will.

FinancesIn order to have financial success in 2018 I feel that I have 2 main goals to accomplish, first being to become debt free and second is to grow my savings..as much as humanly possible while still managing to have a life. My debts include my car, which I have about $6,500 more to pay and my credit card, which is extremely minor and could be paid off by the end of this month if I wanted to. I don’t have much of a plan other than to pay as much as I can each month, but I am open to suggestions I’m giving myself a dead line on June 2018 for my car and August 2018 for everything else.

Health/Happiness This final category is here, there and everywhere. I want to take control of my health in all ways. Physical, Mental and Spiritual..i’m struggling the most with this as I want to come up with a game plan that I will stick to and not give up in a couple of months.

When it comes to my happiness I just want to do more activities that make me happy. I feel that I spent too much ( justified ) time being upset in 2017 and I am over it. What makes me happy with no doubt change often throughout the next 12 months but I want to make sure to constantly remind myself to be happy!

I’m sure I will come up with more goals as the days pass and those too will be added to my list, but for now I am pleased with what I have mapped out for the year.

What goals did you set in 2018? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
